1. Application
This kit offers the early cow pregnancy detection, and reconfirming for pregnant cow.
2. Specificities
This kit is accurate, easy to use, fast and safe. It is portable and could be stored at room temperature.
3. Specimen collection and pretreatment
For early diagnostic pregnancy, please do the test during 22 - 26 days after mating. Reconfirming can be done at any time. Please collect 5-10ml milk sample in plate or tube. The milk sample should be collected in the middle of milking. Do not collect sample at the beginning of milking. Do the test right after well-distributed stirring.
4. Assay procedure
a. Prepare a dry and clean container for milk sample
b. Take out the test strip from the aluminium foil package and put it flat on the desk
c. Suck up the milk sample by tubularis; put 4 drops into the sample hole on the test strip; read the result after 15-20 mins reaction at room temperature. Result over 20 mins or more should be taken as reference only.
5. Result interpretation
Positive (+):
In the observation area, if the Control Line(C Line) is red and no color in Test Line (T Line), which means the cow is pregnant or in middile periond of estrous cycle.
Negative (-):
In the observation area:
a. both of the Control Line and Test Line are red, very clearly;
sample hole on the test strip; read the result after 15-20 mins reaction at room temperature. Result over 20 mins or more should be taken as reference only.
b. both of the Control Line and Test Line are red, and the color of Test Line deeper than Control Line;
c. both of the Control Line and Test Line are red, and the color of Test Line weaker than Control Line
In the a, b, c situations above, which means the cow is not pregnant.
Invalid: No color shows in both of the Control Line and Test Line, or the color only shows in Test Line, which indicates the operation is incorrect or the test kit is out of date. In this case, please read the instruction again carefully, and do the assay again with new strips.
6. Notice
---The kit could be used for only once at room temperature (25oC). Temperature too low may weaken the color, which may affect the result.
--- Please do not use other samples except milk. If the color in observation area is too weak to read, please prolong the reaction time, but not over 30 mins.
- Sampling timing should be during 22-26 days after mating. Or else you may get wrong result.
- -If the result is negative and suspicious, please store the sample at 4 ℃ for 12 h in summer, and at room temperature in winter. Do the test again. Record the result according to the second test.
- If the result is not trustworthy, take another test again, but sampling time should be during 22-26 days after mating
- This kit is disposable.
- The kit should be used as soon as possible after taking it out of the package.
- Use the kit before it expired.
7. Storage and Valid date
The kit can be stored at 10-30℃ in dark cool place for 24 months. Please do not freeze. Lot Number and date of production are printed on the package.
