Details

 1. Introduction

The BIOKAUTM CPV Antigen Rapid Test Card is a chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of canine parvovirus antigen in canine feces.

The CPV Antigen Rapid Test Card has a letter of "T"and"C"as test line and control line on the surface of the device. Both the test line and control line in result window are invisible before applying any samples. The control line is used for procedural control. Control line should be always appearing if the test procedure is performed properly and the test reagents of control line are working. A red test line will be visible in the result window if there is enough parvovirus antigen in the specimen. The specified canine parvovirus antibodies are used in test band as both capture and detector materials. These enable the test card to detect canine parvovirus antigen in canine feces with a high degree of accuracy.

2. Material provided

1) CPV Test Card                               50 pieces

2) Sample collected tube containing diluent buffer  50 tubes

3) Swab                                       50 pieces

4) Dropper                                    50 pieces

5) Instruction                                   1 piece

3. Components of test card

On the surface, there is MARK as S (Sample adding well), T (Test line), C (Control line)

Inside, there is Sample pad, Gold standard pad, Nitrocellulose membranes and the absorbent pad.

4. Sample collection and preparation

1) The sample is canine feces

2) The samples should be tested immediately after been collected.

5. Precautions

1) This test card is for veterinary diagnostic use only. It is very accurate in detecting canine parvovirus antigen, while a low incidence of false results can occur. A definitive clinical diagnosis should be made after considering all clinical and other laboratory findings.

2) Please strictly adhere to instructions to get best results.

3) All samples should be treated as potentially infectious.

4) Do not open the sealed package before immediately use.

5) Do not use the test card if the pouch is damage or the seal is broken.

6) Do not reuse the test card.

7) All reagents should be at room temperature before running assay.

8) Do not use reagents beyond the stated expiration date marked on the label.

9) The components in this kit have been quality control tested as standard batch unit. Do not mix components from different lot numbers.

6. Test Procedure

1) Using swab to collect canine feces samples.

2) Insert the swab into sample collecting tube containing 1ml diluent buffer.

3) Mix swab samples with diluent buffer completely.

4) Take out the test card, put it flatly on a dry place.

5) Use the dropper provided, absorb samples from extracted and mixed solution from the tube.

6) Add 4 drops into sample well using dropper. The mixed diluent buffer should be added exactly, slowly drop by drop.

7) As the test being to work, you will see red color move across the result window.

8) For best result, test 5 diarrhea feces in the farm.

9) Read results in 5~10 min. Do not beyond 20min.

7. Result Judgment.

1) Negative:no color reaction on Test Line (T Line),only on Control Line(C Line) being seen wine-red color reaction

2) PositiveBoth on T Line and C line being seen wine-red color reaction.

3) InvalidNo color reaction on C Line. The instructions may not have been followed correctly or the test card is invalid. Recommend to re-test samples.
